So here we are, a couple months past the finish date only we’re not finished. It’s okay though, it was more of a scheduling error then a production problem. We’ve come a long way and accomplished some amazing things, the actors, the crew and the footage. One of the first (if not the first) production teams to shoot with the Canon 5D, shooting a foot chase scene through the streets of downtown San Antonio, utilizing venues and clubs around town, it’s all been well worth the countless hours we’ve put in and the film isn’t even close to being finished (edited) but we are closing in on the last handful of shoot dates. The teaser is up and gives you just enough to make you wonder what this film is about and the trailer is in the works. Music is being discussed for different areas, voice overs have begun, the score is in our mind and there is still plenty to do.
Come out to Rebar on Broadway tonight! We will be shooting club scenes starting at about 10 p.m., so if you would like to make an appearance in the film, tonight may be your chance to do so! We will have three cameras going.

Over the weekend, I finished editing the initial version of The Powderkids first teaser trailer. I didn’t yet have a finalized soundtrack to work with, so I downloaded a track from freeplaymusic.com that echoed the desired emotions, and used it to cut the footage to. It worked pretty well. Now we just have to get some clean voiceover recorded for the opening, and our music dept. is already working on cutting together some original music for the final sounds track. It’s going to be sweet.
Look for the finalized teaser trailer to be posted online by next weekend, hopefully sooner. The footage looks great; I can’t wait to get the music from sound and get this thing in the can! I’m very excited…
The Powderkids is a feature-length flim being made in San Antonio, Texas, by Machina Cinema/3 Creams Productions. Look for more updates on this page as we get closer to principle photography, which is scheduled to begin May 28, 2009!
